Position Overview
Kootenay Columbia College is seeking qualified and experienced Biomedical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Instructors to join our academic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality instruction in biomedical sciences and TCM-related courses. The instructor will support student learning through effective teaching practices, practical application of knowledge, and mentorship while ensuring course delivery meets institutional and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver effective instruction using student-centred teaching methodologies.
- Facilitate classroom discussions, practical learning activities, and applied clinical scenarios.
- Prepare and deliver course materials, lectures, assessments, and learning activities.
- Support students in developing professional knowledge, clinical reasoning, and communication skills.
- Integrate theoretical concepts with practical healthcare applications.
- Provide timely feedback and guidance to support student success.
- Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
- Ensure course delivery aligns with KCC policies, curriculum requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- A recognized Master’s degree, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr.TCM), Doctoral degree, Master of Science, or another relevant medical/Brio Medical-related credential.
- Minimum two years of clinical or professional experience in a relevant healthcare field. Biomedical Sciences / TCM: Minimum 2 years of professional experience required.
- Valid authorization to work in Canada
Licence/Certification
- TCMP designation preferred.
- Active professional registration required where applicable.
- Clinical practice and/or instructional experience is an asset.
- Current professional registration or licensure in British Columbia, where applicable, as one of the following:
- Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (TCMP) Acupuncturist Registered Nurse (RN), Chiropractor, Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr.TCM) Other recognized healthcare professional designation
- Registration in good standing with the applicable regulatory body, such as: College of Complementary Health Practitioners of BC (CCHPBC) College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC) Equivalent professional regulatory organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of biomedical sciences, TCM theory, acupuncture, pharmacology, pathology, ethics, and healthcare practices.
- Previous teaching, clinical instruction, or post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital teaching tools.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
