Autoform Contracting is a leading municipal concrete contractor serving Southwestern Ontario for over 30 years. We specialize in concrete curb, sidewalk, multi-use paths, and municipal infrastructure projects. We are looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our office team. No previous construction experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
As a Construction Administrative Assistant, you will support our operations team with a variety of office and project-related tasks, including:
- Assisting with quantity takeoffs and project measurements
- Preparing and organizing measurement spreadsheets
- Requesting utility locates through Ontario One Call
- Organizing and reviewing daily crew timesheets
- Assisting with payroll administration
- Maintaining project files and documentation
- Updating spreadsheets and tracking project quantities
- Assisting with safety documentation and employee training records
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Communicating with contractors, municipalities, and utility companies
- General office administration and clerical duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is:
- Organized and dependable
- Detail-oriented
- Eager to learn
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A strong communicator with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
The following are considered assets but are not required:
- Experience in an office or administrative role
- Experience in the construction industry
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Experience working with measurements or quantities
