Job Summary:
Canadian Erosion and Containment Ltd. is seeking a skilled Skid Steer Operator to join our team. As a vital member of our workforce, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to support various site development projects, including the installation of radon mitigation systems, MSE walls, geosynthetic retaining wall systems, and more. Your role will involve working under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Operate skid steer equipment proficiently to carry out tasks such as horizontal drilling, paving, bulldozing, digging, and building as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project execution while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate equipment effectively and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during operations.
- Support site development activities by assisting in grading operations and Caterpillar equipment operation.
- Adhere to company and site-specific safety regulations at all times to promote a secure work environment.
- Assist in the implementation of erosion control measures as part of environmental management practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically as a Skid Steer Operator.
- Familiarity with commercial driving practices and regulations.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents related to construction projects.
- Strong understanding of grader operation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members and supervisors.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established safety protocols.
