We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Full Time Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to engage customers effectively. This role involves assisting customers with product selections, demonstrating merchandise, and providing a welcoming shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology or retail sales are highly valued. The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales through upselling and merchandising while maintaining a well-organized store environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, offering product demos when appropriate
- Conduct sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or card payments with proper cash handling procedures
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandise displays, ensure products are well-stocked, and organize the sales floor according to merchandising standards
- Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products and store policies
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts
- Use organizational skills to keep the store clean, organized, and inviting for customers
- Engage in basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management as needed
- Follow store policies regarding cashiering, phone etiquette, and customer interactions
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
- Bilingual abilities (English and additional languages) are a plus but not required
- Prior experience in retail sales, technology sales, or customer service is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for merchandising and store upkeep
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory purposes
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
- Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and technical sales is advantageous
