Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dispatcher/Customer Service professional to join our team. This role is vital in coordinating transportation logistics, managing customer interactions, and ensuring smooth operations across our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with various management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems and SyteLine software
- Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette
- Enter data accurately into AS400 and other relevant platforms to maintain up-to-date records
- Analyze shipping data to identify efficiencies or issues within the supply chain process
- Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) operations to optimize freight movement and delivery schedules
- Assist with inventory management and order processing within the supply chain framework
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining professional communication skills
- Support analysis of freight operations to improve overall logistics performance
Requirements
- Experience with transportation management systems, SyteLine, AS400, and shipping & receiving processes preferred
- Strong data entry skills with high typing accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively
- Knowledge of supply chain management, freight logistics, and 3PL operations is a plus
- Analytical skills to interpret data related to shipping, freight, and logistics performance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency in using computer software for data entry and analysis tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate schedules efficiently
- Prior experience in customer service or dispatch roles is desirable
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
