Education, Training and Experience
- Graduate of a recognized program in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography with a preferred 1+ year experience in the field but not required
- Current registration with CMRITO (Required) or in process with exam dates set up
- Experience in following protocol as set out by the CorHealth requirements for Adult Echocardiography
- Experience in performing full adult echocardiograms and the use of Definity contrast enhancement will be considered but not mandatory
- IV training a plus but not a requirement
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to perform adult echocardiography in accordance with the CorHealth protocol
- Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic imaging and reporting systems
- Experience with the use of and troubleshooting of GE system is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to provide accurate preliminary reports for the reading Cardiologist
- Effective problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
