About the Role:
We’re a licensed childcare centre looking for a dependable and organized Daycare Cook to join our team immediately. The Cook will prepare healthy meals and snacks for children and may occasionally support staff on the childcare floor.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious meals/snacks following Canada’s Food Guide
- Follow allergy and dietary restrictions
- Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment
- Manage food inventory and supplies
- Follow licensing and Public Health standards
- Provide classroom coverage when needed
Requirements:
- Food Handler’s Certificate
- Criminal Record Check + Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Abuse Registry Check (NS)
- First Aid & CPR Level C
- Experience in a kitchen or food service role
- Ability to work as part of a team
Assets:
- Experience cooking for groups or children
- Knowledge of allergy-safe food prep
