Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and food safety
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and swiftly
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to sanitation standards in food handling and kitchen areas
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and packaging orders for quick service
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized restaurant environment to ensure efficient operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafes, or retail food outlets is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in customer service roles that involve serving guests and upselling menu items is highly desirable
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented attitude
