SUMMARY
The Receptionist answers and transfers calls, takes and relays messages, greets and signs in visitors and provides other general clerical and administrative duties as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers and transfers incoming calls to appropriate individuals in a professional manner
- Takes and relays messages to appropriate individuals
- Greets, signs in and provides visitors with access badges. Notifies appropriate internal individuals about visitors’ arrival
- Receives packages and notifies appropriate individuals of package arrivals
- Assists with booking meeting rooms
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- High school diploma
- Up to 3 years of job related work experience
- Fully proficient at operating a multi-line phone system
- Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, internet along with the ability to quickly learn other software applications quickly (i.e. online meeting room booking tool)
- Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, diplomacy and professionalism in interacting and communicating with others
- Strong client-service orientation with a genuine interest in assisting others
- Strong interpersonal skills
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $39,206 - $46,125 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
