We are looking to hire someone who already lives in the local area of 100 Mile House. This position is not open to candidates who require relocation, and we are not considering applicants from outside the area.
We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to assist experienced roofing professionals in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on construction experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, and eager to learn about roofing and construction trades.
Duties
- Assist roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Carry and organize roofing materials such as shingles, underlayment, and flashings
- Prepare work areas by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely throughout the workday
- Apply caulking or sealants as needed to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand tools used in construction or roofing work
- Prior construction or roofing experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for long periods
- Reliable transportation to job sites and/or our work yard.
- Valid driver's licence required. Applicants must have a clean driver's abstract and be confident operating a company cube van.
Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
