Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Patient Coordinator and Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining efficient front desk operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental or medical office settings, with strong administrative skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service at the front desk
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental or medical office software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and handle appointment requests
- Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing or payment processing
- Collect patient information, update medical histories, and ensure data accuracy
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication
- Handle administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and managing correspondence
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Experience
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Dentrix and Epic is desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures in healthcare environments
- Experience managing multi-line phone systems and providing excellent front desk support
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Office experience with administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and record keeping is essential
