Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Swing Reach Operator with VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) driving experience to join our warehouse team. This role involves operating specialized equipment to efficiently manage inventory, pick orders, and support warehouse distribution operations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Responsibilities
- Operate Swing Reach forklifts and VNA trucks to retrieve and store inventory within narrow aisles
- Use clamp trucks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment to fulfill order picking and inventory management tasks
- Conduct accurate order picking based on warehouse management system instructions
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products to ensure proper storage and shipment readiness
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
- Follow safety procedures to recognize and mitigate potential hazards around equipment and aisles
- Support warehouse distribution activities by efficiently moving goods throughout the facility
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklift, clamp truck, and VNA or swing reach trucks
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads safely
- Experience with order picker equipment is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Knowledge of safety standards related to warehouse operations and equipment use
This position is integral to maintaining efficient warehouse operations through precise handling of goods, adherence to safety standards, and effective use of specialized equipment.
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
