Operations Director (Canada)
We are looking for a dynamic and high energy Operations Director with an electronics manufacturing background to lead our Canadian sales and trading operations. . In this role, you will be the architect of our domestic expansion, optimizing the high-velocity logistics, daily operations, and financial systems that power our market presence. You will synchronize our offshore production with Canadian market demands, driving operational scale through rigorous material controls, financial accountability, and a relentless high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead an operational strategy to penetrate new accounts across Canada and US market.
- Work with our factory in Vietnam to align manufacturing schedules with the demands from Canada and United States, ensuring production capabilities meet growth targets.
- Ensure Canadian operations are aligned with corporate reporting, compliance, and strategic expansion.
- Take full ownership of the budget. Direct the accounting function to ensure accurate COGS tracking, labor cost management, and margin protection.
- Design and optimize inventory systems, material handling, and warehouse workflows to ensure 100% accuracy and lean operations.
- Lead the shipping and distribution strategy to ensure timely delivery to Canada, managing domestic and US logistics.
- Directly manage all on-site personnel at the Canada’s office, including materials, warehouse, logistics, and Accounting teams, ensuring a synchronized and high-performing ecosystem.
- Lead recruitment for specialized technical and administrative roles, establishing a high-accountability environment with rigorous KPIs and performance reviews.
- Take full responsibility for the warehouse in US and Canada to implement inventory control systems to maximize space utilization and pick-pack efficiency.
- Implement rigorous cycle counting and auditing processes to ensure 100% inventory accuracy for high-value electronics components and finished goods.
- Directly manage all on-site personnel at the warehouse, logistics and accounting teams.
- Establish a performance-driven environment with KPIs
- Develop and implement standardized policies and business processes that ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Foster a culture of transparent, direct communication to ensure policy adoption, departmental cooperation, and maximum employee engagement.
- Direct regional financial strategy with a focus on P&L performance, overseeing budget development and fiscal reporting to ensure transparency and bottom-line growth.
- Maximize operational efficiency by managing capital asset lifecycles and maintaining strict inventory controls over stock and facility resources.
- Empower a high-performing workforce through proactive coaching, disciplined work allocation, and strategic succession planning
Experience & Professionalism
- Minimum 10+ years of senior operational management experience, ideally within a high-volume, sales-driven environment.
- Advanced knowledge of business theory, operational modeling, and budget management.
- A proven track record of executing strategic plans in high-pressure environments while maintaining the highest degree of personal integrity.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written English skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through evolving business goals and organizational shifts.
