Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various phases of construction projects, from site preparation to finishing touches. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, material handling and cleanup to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as required under supervision
- Perform demolition, restoration, or renovation work as needed
- Assist with installation of vapour barriers, various types of siding, soffit, fascia, trim and cladding.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience is not required; willingness to learn on the job is essential
- Some basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads (up to 75 pounds), stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to provide a driver's abstract
