Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Hand /Team Lead to oversee day-to-day operations in our food production facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- They are responsible supervising the line employees’ work quality, productivity, and attendance, all while ensuring maximum quality output in a safe and profitable manner.
- Ensure GMPs are being followed at all times
- Oversee equipment set up, ensuring machine settings are appropriate based on product specification
- Provide orientation and training for all new team members, assess individual performance
- Manage daily work flow and break schedules
- Ensure product is finished and packed according to customer specification
- Maintain accurate inventory control of raw materials, packaging, sanitation chemicals, and finished goods; ensure production areas are equipped with supplies to avoid stoppage/downtime
- Monitor product temperature prior to packaging
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant mandatory
- 2 year+ of lead hand/team lead experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in MS Office programs
- Must be flexible as shift schedule may change
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position.
