Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced construction driver/labourer who can safely operate a pickup truck with a trailer to transport heavy equipment, materials, and tools to and from job sites each day. The successful candidate must be comfortable towing trailers, securing loads, and operating construction equipment as required. Once on site, they will work as part of the construction crew, performing general labour duties and assisting with pool and landscape construction projects. This is a hands-on role that requires both strong driving skills and the ability to work in a physically demanding construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, or personnel as needed
- Assist with loading and unloading heavy items, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
- Perform manual labour tasks including lifting, moving, and organizing materials or supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and vehicles
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws during driving duties
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience towing heavy trailers with a pickup truck.
- Experience transporting construction equipment and materials.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds or more) regularly throughout the shift
- Prior experience in driving or labour work
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious mindset
