Heritage Green Child Care Inc. is looking for two qualified individuals to join our Before and After Care Program at St. James the Apostle School starting September 2026.
Hours
This position is a split shift, Monday to Friday. Candidates must be able to work from 7:00am to 8:30am and 2:00pm to 5:30pm. This position may also include PA Days and school breaks such as March Break and Summer camp which may be full time hours.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications to join our team:
- Degree/diploma in Early Childhood Education, and a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (new graduates must have applied to the College of ECEs).
- Candidates who hold an Ontario College of Teachers degree also qualify;
- Consideration will also go to those with a diploma in Child and Youth Worker or Recreation and Leisure
- Experience in a licensed child care setting or before and after care program is an asset;
- Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check (dated within the last 6 months) or willingness to obtain one at own cost;
- Must provide results of a current TB test (from within the past 6 months) or be willing to get a Step 1 test;
- Candidates must provide proof of immunizations including Tetanus (within the past 10 years) and proof of MMR;
- Must have current Standard First Aid and CPR certificate (Level C)
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in a busy environment supervising large groups of children and facilitating activities with them.

Wage:
The starting rate for this position is $26.34 (for Qualified non-ECE) to $28.00 (RECE) per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
