Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Reconcile daily sales summaries from point of sale system with bank deposits and credit cards.
- Account Payable: Code, enter, and track vendor invoices for food, beverage, and operating supplies while monitoring food-cost.
- Payroll & Tips: Process bi-weekly staff hours, manage statutory deductions and calculate restaurant tip-pool system
- Reporting: Preparing weekly prime cost reports (labour + Food/beverage costs) and month end financial package for ownership
- Maintain accurate records and update financial databases.
- Handle employee inquiries and support office communications.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment. .
- Proficient with Excel and Sage accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong understanding of cash handling, inventory management concepts, and payroll legislation.
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
