We are currently recruiting for a Casual Personal Support Worker for a female employer who has a C5 Spinal Cord Injury.
This employer is a dedicated university student who has a positive demeanor. She enjoys music, movies, reading and hanging out with friends. She values developing a relationship with her support team.
The ideal candidate would be someone who is friendly, positive, and energetic who values building a genuine connection. Someone resourceful, and hardworking who is good with time management, and has organizational skills as well as, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Location:
- Kelowna (Near Sonora Park)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- Casual/Back up Monday to Friday: 10:30am to 2:30pm
Compensation:
- $26.00 per hour with an opportunity for a wage increase after 3 months
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Personal care such as: hygiene, dressing assistance, range of motion exercise's, and Catheterization every 3-4 hours
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping duties such as wash bedsheets, laundry, tidy room
- Running errands for the employer
Required Qualifications:
- 6 months to 1 year of caregiving experience preferred
- Passion for working in the caregiving industry essential
- Willingness to learn and able to engage/take direction
- Non-smoke and Non-Vape (Non-negotiable)
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with a small dog (Hyper allergenic) required
- Class 5 driver's license and personal vehicle required
- Fully vaccinated required
