Position Summary
The Packaging Assistant plays a key role in ensuring Meta Brewery’s beers are packaged to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position involves operating and maintaining packaging equipment, handling cans, and kegs, and supporting the packaging team to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in daily packaging operations, including canning and kegging.
· Operate, clean, and maintain packaging line equipment under supervision.
· Inspect packaged products for quality, accuracy, and consistency (fill levels, seams, dates etc.).
· Palletize, wrap, and stage packaged beer for storage and shipping.
· Maintain accurate records of packaging runs, yields, and inventory.
· Always follow strict safety and sanitation procedures.
· Assist in warehouse organization, including movement of raw materials and finished goods.
· Support general brewery operations as needed.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in brewing, beverage, or manufacturing packaging is an asset.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
· Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is an asset.
