ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a Barista to help start our members’ days on the right note at the Club’s café. Whether it’s preparing their favourite coffee, serving a warm breakfast, or simply sharing a friendly chat, the Barista plays a key role in creating a welcoming morning routine. You’ll get to know our members by name, and they’ll know yours, as you become part of their daily ritual before a round of golf or while they relax with the morning paper.
Please note this is a seasonal position with possibility for extension.
Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Shifts begin as early as 6:00am and finishing in the early to mid-afternoon, no evening shifts required.

WHAT IS OUR STORY?
The Club brings families together and our Club is a 2nd home to over 1,500 members. We’ve got a strong foundation and continue to modernize our service offerings to ensure multi-generational enjoyment throughout 275 acres of breathtaking, panoramic scenery. Although the Club began as a hunting club in 1885, over the years, amenities such as dining, golf, tennis, pickleball, trap and skeet and fitness were added to enrich member experience. Club members have a history of excellence in business, athletics, and altruistic pursuits.

Since the London Hunt and Country Club aims to provide our members with a first-class dining experience, we have high expectations for our serving staff. The successful candidate will have at least one year of food service experience, ideally as a barista or private clubs. You will be well versed with the daily specials and help promote club events. You work well under pressure and assist your colleagues as required. You are available to work a flexible work week which includes some early mornings and days during the week and on weekends, including holidays. Completion of the Smart Serve Certificate is required prior to your start date at the Club.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional Member experiences.
- Smart Serve Certification (required).
- Minimum 2-3 year of food and beverage service experience preferred, ideally in a private Club, café, or upscale hospitality environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and service-focused during busy periods.
- Understanding of food safety and health and safety practices.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Commitmentto maintaining the Club's high standards of service and professionalism.
COMPENSATION
Compensation consists of a base hourly wage plus tip pooling. A service charge is automatically charged at a pre-determined rate per bill or banquet invoice for food and beverage purchases, approved by the Club’s Board of Directors. Please note that Club Members or guests are not permitted to “top up” the gratuity on the bill.
