Sales Manager (MBA Preferred)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, commercially astute Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and lead sales execution across our target markets. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in business strategy—supported by an MBA or equivalent business education—combined with hands-on experience in B2B sales execution.
This role is both strategic and operational in nature. You will be directly responsible for revenue performance, pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, and the ongoing refinement of scalable sales processes. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in translating company strategy into measurable sales outcomes while working closely with marketing, product, and executive leadership.
You will own the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close—while helping establish a disciplined, repeatable sales engine that supports long-term growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue & Pipeline Ownership
- Take full ownership of assigned revenue targets, bookings goals, and sales KPIs
- Build, develop, and maintain a robust and well-qualified sales pipeline across defined markets and customer segments
- Ensure consistent pipeline coverage to support short-term and long-term revenue objectives
- Drive opportunities from initial engagement through contract execution
- Deliver accurate, data-driven revenue forecasts and regularly report performance against targets
Sales Execution & Deal Management
- Lead both outbound and inbound sales initiatives, including prospecting, qualification, and follow-up
- Conduct high-quality discovery calls to understand customer needs, pain points, and decision criteria
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and executive-level presentations
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving technical, commercial, and executive decision-makers
- Lead pricing discussions, proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal close
Team Leadership & Sales Enablement
- Coach, mentor, and support sales representatives, where applicable
- Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks
- Develop and maintain sales playbooks, scripts, objection-handling frameworks, and best practices
- Support onboarding and ongoing enablement to improve sales effectiveness and consistency
Go-To-Market Execution & Strategy
- Translate overall company and revenue strategy into executable sales plans
- Collaborate closely with marketing on lead generation, messaging, campaigns, and conversion optimization
- Partner with product teams to provide structured market feedback and influence product direction
- Identify and evaluate new verticals, customer segments, partnerships, and expansion opportunities
- Support pricing strategy, packaging decisions, and go-to-market refinement as the business scales
Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management
- Track and analyze key sales metrics, including pipeline health, conversion rates, deal velocity, win/loss trends, and customer acquisition costs
- Maintain disciplined CRM usage and ensure data accuracy and hygiene
- Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports for senior leadership
- Use data and insights to continuously improve sales processes and outcomes
Required Qualifications
- MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field (MBA strongly preferred)
- 3–7 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or revenue-focused roles
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience selling technology, SaaS, AI-driven, or enterprise solutions
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
- Proven ability to engage effectively with senior executives and decision-makers
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience selling into SMB, mid-market, enterprise, or government customers
- Comfort operating within long or complex sales cycles
- Experience building sales processes from the ground up or scaling existing sales operations
- Prior experience managing or mentoring sales teams
- Background in startup, scale-up, or high-growth environments
Tools & Competencies
- CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, or equivalent
- Sales enablement and prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, outreach platforms)
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and data interpretation skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving, and ambiguous environments
