Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Moving Helper / Maintenance Helper to support our team in facility operations and moving projects. This role involves assisting with physical moving tasks, performing maintenance duties, and supporting the overall functionality of our manufacturing or facilities environment. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and leadership skills to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Assist with the safe and efficient moving of furniture, equipment, and materials within facilities or to new locations
- Support maintenance activities including basic repairs, equipment troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- Operate tools such as welders, hand tools, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as needed
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and facility layouts to perform maintenance tasks accurately
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders and maintenance activities
- Conduct electrical work or mechanical repairs following safety protocols and schematics
- Supervise or lead small teams during moving projects or maintenance tasks when required
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally during project support
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or related fields with supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with skills in welding, electrical systems, schematics reading, and troubleshooting equipment issues
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and general facilities maintenance procedures
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety standards within industrial settings
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams and manage multiple projects efficiently
- Prior experience in customer service is a plus but not required

Pay: $18.25-$24.60 per hour
