Who are we?
We are a passionate and multi-disciplinary team, dedicated to developing innovative semiconductor solutions incorporating Machine Learning and AI.
We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where all team members can thrive. We welcome brilliant and dedicated individuals from all backgrounds to join our team and contribute to our vision.
Why this role?
· Be part of an agile, growing team that drives innovation
· Apply your skills in several areas to maximize impact
· Learn new skills from industry veterans who have taken numerous products to market
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of our proprietary Python-based Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and infrastructure for mixed-signal IC design
· Collaborate with the team in numerous areas, including silicon design, systems engineering, software engineering and ML/AI
· Make a significant impact on the future of mixed-signal semiconductor design
We embrace a hybrid work environment. Our headquarters are located in downtown Vancouver near public transport hubs and amenities.
As a Software Engineer, you will:
· Design, implement, and improve features for our proprietary Python-based EDA framework for mixed-signal IC design, applying strong software architecture and engineering practices, and working in conjunction with a wide range of open-source frameworks and commercial EDA software
· Develop and maintain robust software testing approaches
· Apply strong software engineering practices — including modular architecture, API design, packaging, and release management — to build a robust, maintainable Python codebase
· Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps methodologies
· Get involved in other areas requiring software development skills, such as IT infrastructure and automated testing
You may be a good fit if you have:
· Strong software development skills combined with an interest to apply those skills to Electronic Design Automation for IC/microchip development
· Strong Python software engineering skills, including experience with software architecture, testing, packaging/distribution, and API design
· The desire to work with a talented, passionate, and experienced team
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
· Familiarity with mixed-signal circuit design concepts (e.g., SPICE simulation, netlists, PDKs) or EDA tool suites such as Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens/Mentor is a plus
· Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and applied experience with large language models — including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or agentic workflows — is a plus
If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply! If you consider yourself a dedicated worker, a lifelong learner, and a supportive team member, our team is the place for you.
