Your Opportunity:
Located at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, this position reports to the Women's health Unit Manager. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, the successful incumbent supports clinical research trials trials within the Urogynecology Clinic and within the Women's Health Program. This position works closely with the Urogynecology Primary Investigators, Physicians, Fellows and research assistants. Coordinating research studies, the Registered Nure - research Coordinator is essential to the efficient management of clinical studies.
Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications:
Current Research coordination experience including coordination of clinical research trials. Completion of NACTRC Research Coordinator Course. Competency related to computer skills and excellent working knowledge of basic programs (ie, Word, Excel) spreadsheet creation and maintenance. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs from floor to wait and 10 lbs above shoulder height.
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years Women's Health experience - Urogynecology experience an asset. Current knowledge of Netcare, Excel, Connect care and MS word. Incumbent must have demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and independently. Demonstrates excellent communication skills both oral and written.
