Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Hand to support Site foreman on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role involves working with a crew to ensure project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Communicate with foreman and other team members and lead by example
- Promote cooperation and commitment with the team towards the attainment of common goals
- Utilize power tools and heavy equipment for various construction tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide project execution accurately.
- Perform skilled hands-on concrete formwork
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices in construction techniques to new employees or employees with developing skills
- Help to maintain an organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for.
- Communicate effectively with foreman regarding progress, challenges, and resource needs.
Skills
- Profitent in Concrete forming and various forming techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations in the construction industry.
- Skilled in reading blueprints and technical drawings for accurate project implementation.
- Ability to effectively use power tools for various construction tasks.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards common goals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise during projects.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
