Evening Gatehouse Attendant
As the first point of contact to the park, the Gatehouse Attendant will register campers, collect fees, deal with inquiries and sell items. Must be proficient with cash handling and reconciliation. As part of a team the Gatehouse Attendant will effectively communicate with staff to ensure safe and clean facilities and a fun positive experience for all!
This position specifically requires:
- Excellent public relations and guest service skills.
- Positive and friendly attitude and ability to be diplomatic.
- Cash handling skills and ability to reconcile end of shift cash out report.
Evening Park Patrol
Park Patrol is responsible for patrolling the park areas to ensure a safe, clean and compliant park environment for all guests. Duties include monitoring campgrounds and day use areas, ensuring compliance and security by following Park Regulations and responding appropriately, collecting fees, selling firewood and other maintenance/ cleaning duties as required.
This position specifically requires:
- Your communication and public relation skills are excellent and include conflict resolution.
- You are proactive and adept at policy enforcement in a friendly manner.
- Passionate about outdoor recreation and parks systems.
- Able to perform physical activity for an 8-hour shift.
Daytime Park Attendants
Park Attendants are responsible for ensuring park visitors have a memorable park experience and that our parks are kept safe and clean! Duties include welcoming visitors, providing information to guests, cleaning campsites, cleaning washrooms and pit toilets, removing garbage and recycling, landscape cleanup, and maintenance.
This position specifically requires:
- Ability and willingness to perform active/physical work for up to 8 hours and be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Practical experience in manual labour such as groundskeeping, gardening, farming or related work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION:

- Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector required upon hiring)
- Current First Aid Certification (OFA) an asset

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Seasonal employment starts in Late May and can last until late October. Our main busy season is from the May long weekend until the Labour Day weekend.
- Day & Night shifts —ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Full-time is preferred, part-time work is offered. Full-time work is 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Wages range from $21 –$24 per hour.
- Uniform is supplied.
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

- Parksville, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
