Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety standards are preferred but not mandatory. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries promptly and resolve any issues professionally
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service and cleaning after closing
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Ability to perform basic math for order accuracy and cash handling
- Effective communication skills for guest interactions and teamwork
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Upselling abilities to promote menu items effectively
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation is a plus but not required
