Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. The successful applicant will contribute to efficient production processes while ensuring high-quality output using various tools and equipment.
Duties
- Set up (HAAS) CNC machines, including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, according to specifications.
- Program CNC equipment using Fanuc controls and CNC programming languages.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings to produce precise parts.
- Operate machining tools such as calipers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime.
- Use precision measurement tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with assembly processes and utilize forklift or other equipment for material handling when necessary.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining operations.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and familiarity with Fanuc controls.
- Experience with CAD software such as Mastercam and general blueprint reading skills.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, welding, and assembly.
- Ability to operate calipers, hand tools, power tools, and forklift safely.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision measurement and quality control.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment. Pay: $20.00 per hour
