Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. As a Long Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment, such as , to load and unload cargo
- Perform routine Heavy equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicle
- Plan routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of delivery details
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Inspect cargo for damage or defects before and after transportation
- Secure cargo properly using straps, or other securing devices
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving or freight transportation
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment,
- Strong knowledge of Heavy equipment repair and maintenance procedures
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
