Siltech Corporation, a Canadian owned global provider of organo-functional silicone specialties, is looking to hire immediately 4 full time, permanent Chemical Operators for our Fort Erie Plant.
The hourly rate for this role starts at $38.97.
This opportunity offers a full Benefits and Pension package after a 3-month probation period at which time the hourly rate increases to $44.27. A fully trained Chemical Operator earns in excess of $55.00 per hour.
This is an entry level position for an individual interested in a career as a Chemical Operator.
Duties include operating filters and packaging equipment safely and efficiently, meeting all quality goals and scheduling deadlines and performing Quality Control tests. Cleanup duties for plant and equipment will also be required. The production of multiple products will require the incumbent to become familiar with a variety of procedures.
Over a period of 2-3 years, the incumbent will be trained to be responsible for the complete processing of all products in all reactors, from start to finish, in specification and on time including in-process analytical work that may be required as batches progress.
This is a 24/7 12-hour Continental Shift.
To qualify for this position, you must be a grade 12 graduate with forklift experience and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a chemical plant.
Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instruction is essential as is the ability to perform designated tasks with concentration and precision, under minimum supervision.
