The Materials Handler is responsible assembling job materials, maintaining high levels of completeness and accuracy. In doing this, and other related material and administrative tasks, the Materials Handler plays a critical part in providing a seamless flow of needed parts and supplies to the factory floor.

Key Responsibility Areas
Job Materials Assembly:
- Picks and assembles materials and parts for specific Job Orders and delivers them to the assembly process
- Issues materials to the appropriate job, labels large components and ensures they are delivered to production
- Returns surplus materials to storage areaAdministrative Functions:
- Records parts issued to jobs and material returns to maintain accurate internal record-keeping for both job-costing and inventory systems
Equipment Operation:
- Operates various equipment which may include hand truck, forklift, or other materials movement equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods
- Projects / Other Assignments:
- Assists in purchasing as assigned
- Performs cycle counts and assists in the inventory process
- Works on related projects or initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Related materials management experience in a warehouse setting
- Inventory control
