Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a respectful, organized environment conducive to learning.
- Work directly with children to support their developmental needs, including toddlers, preschoolers, and students with disabilities or special needs such as autism.
- Help facilitate activities that promote early childhood development, including Montessori-inspired methods and toddler care techniques.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to tailor instruction effectively for individual learners.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper childcare procedures and behavior management strategies.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom events.
Skills
- Strong background in special education, early childhood education, or related fields with classroom experience.
- Proficiency in lesson planning across subjects such as literacy education, math, and curriculum development.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays, including autism spectrum disorder.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods, preschool experience, daycare operations, and toddler care practices.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and engage with parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners and individual needs while maintaining a nurturing approach.
