Scott Builders Inc. is hiring a Site Superintendent to lead a commercial construction project. This is a full-time, site-based role responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating trades, and ensuring projects meet safety, schedule, and quality standards.

Job Summary
As a Site Superintendent, your day typically begins by reviewing the construction schedule and coordinating with project managers, field staff, subcontractors, and trades. Throughout the day, you oversee site operations, lead job-site meetings, and ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
You will monitor project progress, coordinate inspections, and work closely with the project team to track site activities, labour, and material requirements. Maintaining strong communication across the site team helps keep construction activities organized and moving forward safely and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily site operations for commercial construction projects
- Schedule and supervise subcontractors, trades, and field staff
- Lead job-site meetings and monitor project progress against schedules
- Ensure construction work follows approved drawings, specifications, budgets, and quality standards
- Promote and enforce site safety standards and company safety programs
- Monitor labour, equipment, and materials to support project cost control
- Coordinate inspections and maintain accurate site documentation and reporting
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, drawings/blueprints, schedules, and budgets
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment through strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, and field staff on active construction sites
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and project teams, while maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and a high standard of customer service
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve constructability issues in complex situations
- Commitment to promoting and enforcing safe work practices on site
- Working knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Office, and related construction software
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship and possess a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Gold Seal Certification
- Experience working on complex commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment and its capabilities
Work Environment and Schedule
- Full-time, site-based position
- Work performed primarily on active construction sites
- Outdoor work required in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to work extended hours and overtime during peak construction phases
