The Opportunity:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Produce Manager at our Seasons Food Store located at 755 Sterling Lyon Parkway, Winnipeg, Manitoba . This position reports to the Store Manager. The Produce Manager adds value to our Co-operative by providing leadership and direction to all aspects of bakery department operations.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
Provide leadership and direction in the execution of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, purchasing, and the delivery of world-class customer service.
Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of co-op policies.
Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
A minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, or non-management retail experience performing at a high level (department assistant or higher).
Sound knowledge of department financial operations.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a special skill of motivating staff to achieve strong operating results.
