Junior Retail Analyst
Location: Bolton, ON (On-site)
Position Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Retail Analyst to join a growing retail team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, merchandising, and retail operations. You'll work closely with senior team members to analyze product performance, support merchandising initiatives, and help optimize store layouts through planogram development and data-driven insights.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and maintaining retail planograms (POGs) using JDA or similar space planning software.
- Analyze sales, inventory, and merchandising data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of store-specific merchandising layouts based on assortment and store configurations.
- Collaborate with merchandising, category management, and store operations teams to ensure accurate planogram execution.
- Perform quality assurance checks to verify planogram accuracy against assortment and product data.
- Help troubleshoot merchandising and planogram issues before and during in-store implementation.
- Prepare reports and presentations that provide insights into product and merchandising performance.
- Support special projects focused on improving retail operations, merchandising effectiveness, and customer experience.
- Assist with fixture and merchandising setup documentation when required.
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, category management, retail analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Experience with JDA Space Planning or similar planogram software is an asset but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Access or Power BI is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
