Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of rebar, concrete forms, and masonry structures following blueprints and schematics.
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing, flooring installation, and restoration work.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to aid in material handling and site preparation.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks, including caulking, smoothing surfaces, and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow on-site.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to assist skilled tradespeople.
- Support welding, masonry, and other specialized tasks as directed by supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience or a strong desire to learn the trade is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively with hand tools and power tools.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as concrete finishing, welding, or flooring installation.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety protocols at all times.
