## Job Summary
R-MAC Solutions Inc. has specialized in high-quality custom residential renovations and additions in Toronto's west end since 2001. We are looking for an experienced Senior Carpenter / Team Leader who can independently lead renovation projects while working alongside a small, skilled team that values craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail.
We are seeking to add am experienced Senior Carpenter / Team Leader with expertise in residential construction and project management to oversee and coordinate our team's operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction disciplines and possess both exceptional leadership & technical construction skills.
This position is intended for experienced residential carpenters only. Applicants without significant renovation experience leading residential projects will not be considered.
## Responsibilities
- Must have knowledge and experience in residential construction
- Minimum of 10 yrs Carpentry experience
- Knowledge and experience in framing, finish carpentry, decking and drywall
- Ability to lead on-site team through renovation process while being a hands on carpenter
- Must be able to anticipate job needs and order required materials
- Be able to effectively communicate during site meetings with specialists, architects and customers
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standard
- Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety protocols
- Manage site and resources efficiently to optimize productivity
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Reporting any challenges or issues to the stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Must have valid Ontario driver’s license
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Own carpentry tools
## Skills
- Proficient in construction techniques such as concrete forming, flooring installation, trim out, masonry, drywall, plumbing, and painting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and permit documents accurately
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and project management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Problem-solving skills to address issues effectively
- Experience in fabricating, assembling, and building structures
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be able to use timeclock technology on a smartphone
