Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated production supervisor to work for our home building supply manufacturing client. The Ideal candidate would have had previous leadership experience in another manufacturing or production facility. Problem solving skills is a must as the supervisor would be ensuring that operations within the facility running in an efficient manner. The schedule will rotate from a day to afternoon shift on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, so flexibility is a must. If you believe you possess these skills, feel free to apply!
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00 AM -2:30 PM & 2:30 PM - 11:00 Pm (These shifts will rotate every 2 weeks)
Duties
- Translate plant-level production goals into clear, actionable direction for Lead Hands and production teams
- Ensure consistency in production standards, workflows, and expectations across shifts and departments
- Monitor production progress against schedule; adjust priorities and resources to maintain output, quality, and delivery targets.
- Support Lead Hands in troubleshooting operational issues and removing barriers to productivity.
- Monitor and analyze key production metrics (e.g., productivity, downtime, waste) and provide recommendations to plant management.
Experience
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing or construction environment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices, problem solving RCCA, lean manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP or production tracking systems (e.g., Sage 300, Misys) is an asset
- Experience interpreting and reading drawings, production schedules, and operational data
