We are looking for a full-time, reliable CNC GibbsCAM Programmer / Afternoon Lead Hand. The successful candidate will be a team player, be well organized, and possess a high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
- Setup and operate Haas/Fanuc CNC lathes and mills
- Understand how to read & interpret mechanical drawings.
- Have programming and G-code editing knowledge
- Assist coworkers when asked for help
- Inspect and measure finished products and verify the parts meet the drawing tolerances
- Train staff to perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Report to machine shop manager
Key Competencies:
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Able to produce accurate precision parts
- Able to verify dimensions of machined parts
- Experience with Cad/Cam programming and G-code editing
- Experience with manual machining
- Good organization skills
- Detail oriented
- Mechanical aptitude
- Safety conscious with safe work habits
- Willingness to learn new skills
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience setting up, editing programs, and operating CNC mills and lathes equipped with FANUC or HAAS controls.
