Position Overview:
We are looking for a Reach Truck Operator / Receiver who will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, accurately recording inventory, and operating a reach truck to efficiently move products within our warehouse. This role plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that products are ready for distribution.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, and product condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Record and document inventory transactions in our warehouse management system.
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and organize products within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space and accessibility.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid reach truck certification.
- Proven experience as a reach truck operator and receiver in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to [insert weight] pounds).
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
