Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for overseeing the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organizations products and/or development processes.
In this hands-on leadership roll, you would be responsible for:
- Managing the quality department and leading quality control activities throughout the organization.
- Establishing organizational goals and implementing continual improvement activities to meet those objectives.
- Leading efforts to modernize quality control throughout the organization. Ensuring successful new product launches through the use of APQP, PPAP and launch readiness activities.
- Ensuring month end measurables are maintained accurately and reviewed on time. Developing strong relations with our customers through proactive activities and site visits. Leading ISO / IATF certification activities.
- Leading continuous improvement activities and work with other departments to identify failure modes and develop controls to ensure product and service quality are constantly improving.
- Conducting quarterly Management Review meetings. Conduct continuous improvement activities with lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, One Piece Flow, Standardized Work, Kanban and Practical Problem Solving. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Knowledge
- Experience in Quality management in an automotive environment.
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Post secondary education in a relevant field or appropriate industry training. Proficiency in quality systems, statistical measurements and methods.
- Experience in audit procedures for internal, customer and TS certification.
- An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Knowledge of injection molding process.
Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
