Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Support professional to support our accounting and administrative operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with daily office activities, and providing excellent support to clients and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain financial transactions, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, process invoices and payments, and ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including issuing invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, following up with clients, and maintaining vendor records.
- Assist with payroll processing, expense tracking, GST/HST reporting, month-end procedures, and preparation of financial information for accountants and management.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring financial and administrative documents are accurately stored and easily accessible when required.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and client inquiries in a professional manner while providing timely support and maintaining positive business relationships.
- Coordinate schedules, appointments, meetings, and administrative tasks to support efficient day-to-day business operations.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other business documents while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Assist with data entry, record maintenance, client onboarding, and other administrative projects as assigned by management.
- Identify opportunities to improve office and bookkeeping processes, helping increase efficiency and maintain high standards of organization and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Excel, and other business software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brampton, ON
