LH North Ltd. is a leading heavy-civil construction company in Northwestern Ontario, specializing in the design and construction of high-quality infrastructure such as bridges, roads, deep foundations, and underground water systems. The company is now accepting applications for experienced Surveyors who meet the following qualifications:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
● Accurately complete onsite surveys for various construction projects, with periodic reviews of record keeping, field procedures and survey audits
● Prepare and communicate field notes, sketches, checklists and digital data
● Liaise with supervisors, clients, and sub-trades to ensure compliance with project specification
● Install survey stake locations, such as right-of-way limits, pile locations, cut-offs and site grading
● Perform construction layout using GPS, total station and level survey instruments
● Work in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team to achieve efficient and safe work sites.
● Work in fast-paced and complex environments, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Qualifications
● Completed diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field
● Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is considered an asset
● Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills
● Sound computer knowledge and experience with CMS/Microsoft Office
● Previous experience in construction environment is considered an asset
● Must have 8-inch CSA approved steel toe work boots (Other required PPE will be provided)
● Familiarity with OPSS and MTO specifications is considered an asset
● Valid Working at Heights certification and Standard First Aid training are considered an asset
● Valid Surface Miner Common Core certification is considered an asset

● Shift work - Mine site operating on a 10 days on/4 days off schedule
