We are a growing asphalt paving company based in Langley, BC, seeking an experienced gradesman and labourer who is motivated to join our team. We complete paving and civil construction projects throughout the Lower Mainland and are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and enjoys being part of a hardworking team.
This is a hands-on position that combines operating heavy equipment with assisting our paving crew as needed. You'll play a key role in preparing job sites, grading, excavation, and supporting the successful completion of asphalt paving and civil infrastructure projects.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and site preparation according to project specifications.
- Fine grade roadways, parking lots, and other surfaces in preparation for asphalt paving.
- Assist with paving operations by preparing surfaces and supporting asphalt placement.
- Load, move, and unload materials and equipment as required.
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and fueling of equipment.
- Identify and report mechanical issues and perform basic preventative maintenance when appropriate.
- Assist the paving crew with physical labour when equipment operation is not required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Qualifications
- Experience with asphalt paving, grading, and underground civil construction.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment and the ability to identify minor maintenance issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence required (Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset).
