Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tile laying and related construction tasks, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves installing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Tile Installer will collaborate with other trades and contribute to the successful completion of projects on time and within scope.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine tile layout and installation procedures.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar.
- Install tiles using hand tools, power tools, and appropriate techniques for flooring, walls, or other surfaces.
- Perform caulking, grouting, and sealing to ensure a finished appearance and durability.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for demolition or surface preparation.
- Assist with related tasks such as cabinetry installation, flooring installation, masonry work, or restoration projects as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure safety protocols are followed throughout all phases of installation.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tile laying or related construction fields.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and other relevant equipment.
- Knowledge of construction techniques including concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, electrical experience, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, and concrete finishing is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety standards within construction environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
