We are seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated professional to join our team on a one-year maternity leave coverage contract.
Our small, dynamic, and friendly hospital in New Westminster is seeking a talented individual to join our hard-working and fun-loving team as an Animal Care Assistant with some receptionist responsibilities.
Position: Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist
Location: New Westminster, BC
Type: Part time /Full-time (16-32hrs/week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care and support for animals in our facility.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic workplace to ensure the well-being of our furry residents.
- Utilize your strong communication skills.
- Collaborate effectively with the team in a fast-paced environment.
- Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere in the animal care area.
In addition to animal care responsibilities:
Receptionist Duties:
- Handle reception duties with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist in managing client interactions and appointments.
- Utilize your Mandarin language skills to communicate effectively with our diverse client base.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
Qualifications:
- Previous veterinary experience is required.
- Fluency in Mandarin is an asset.
- Experience or willingness to take on receptionist duties.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
