(Receptionist / Legal Assistant)
Knowledge of Excel and Word required
Mandatory Knowledge of Hindi, Punjabi (writing and reading, and Speaking)
- Welcomes clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
- Draft Powers of Attorney, statutory declarations, affidavits, and notarization documents. Draft Translated Birth Certificates, etc.,
- Prepare execution packages and schedule signing appointments.
- Verify client identification, witness signatures where permitted, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs for notarial acts, scanned copies, and document retention policies.
- Conduct due diligence searches (title searches, tax, utilities, etc.)., if needed.
- Communicate with lenders, real estate agents, clients, land registry offices, and other legal professionals.
- Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.
- Open, organize, and maintain physical and electronic family law files, ensuring all documents are accurately labeled, indexed, and up to date.
- Manage limitation dates, court deadlines, and internal follow-up reminders.
- Prepare and maintain case timelines, disclosure charts, and file summaries for counsel.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Experience:
