Experienced Cabinet Installer — Short-Term Piecework Location: Greater Victoria / West Shore, BC Pay: Generally $400–$500 per completed apartment unit, depending on project and scope Term: Expected to be less than three months; three-month maximum Laserline Cabinet Installation Services is looking for experienced cabinet installers for active multi-unit residential projects. The arrangement begins with one paid test unit at the regular project rate. If the installation meets the required quality standard, you may take as many released units as you want and can reliably complete. You do not need to commit to the entire project. Installers can accept individual units or blocks of units according to their availability. Unit volume is not guaranteed and depends on project releases, quality and reliability. The work - Install complete apartment cabinet packages from drawings - Set, level, fasten and align cabinets accurately - Install fillers, panels, doors, drawers and hardware - Identify missing materials, drawing conflicts and site issues promptly - Protect completed work and leave units clean - Return to correct installer-caused deficiencies in assigned units - Install countertops only when separately assigned and priced Installers remain responsible for their workmanship through deficiency closeout. Installer-caused corrections are completed without additional compensation. Missing materials, site conflicts and damage caused by other trades must be documented and reported separately. Production expectations Quality comes first, but this is production installation work. The owner personally strives for two typical units per day when layouts and site conditions allow. Applicants do not need to promise that pace immediately, but must be able to work independently, efficiently and accurately. Requirements - Proven cabinet-installation experience - Ability to install a complete kitchen or apartment package independently - Ability to read drawings and follow written site instructions - Own professional installation tools - Reliable vehicle and transportation - Appropriate PPE - Reliable attendance and communication - Ability and willingness to return for deficiencies - Legally authorized to work in Canada - Already living within practical commuting distance of Greater Victoria or the West Shore Laserline pays the applicable WorkSafeBC coverage.
