Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Project Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role involves coordinating warehouse distribution, transportation management, procurement, and order fulfillment processes to ensure seamless logistics flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, experience with ERP systems such as AS400 and Warehouse Management Systems, and a solid understanding of freight, 3PL, and demand planning. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end supply chain activities including warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and materials management.
- Oversee procurement and sourcing activities to ensure cost-effective purchasing of materials and services.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems (including AS400), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to plan, execute, and monitor logistics operations.
- Coordinate freight, 3PL providers, and shipping schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing costs.
- Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency in order picking, packaging, and overall warehouse operations.
- Analyze data related to demand planning, pricing strategies, and inventory levels to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise warehouse activities including order fulfillment, order picking, shipping & receiving, and forklift operations.
- Implement best practices in procurement and sourcing to improve supply chain reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on e-commerce logistics, packaging solutions, and materials management projects.
- Monitor KPIs related to supply chain performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, supply chain management, or logistics project management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (including AS400), CMMS, and transportation management systems.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding, 3PL providers, demand planning, procurement processes, and sourcing strategies.
- Data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets for process improvement opportunities.
- Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and warehouse operations including forklift operation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external partners.
- Warehouse or logistics-related certifications are a plus; experience with e-commerce logistics is desirable.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
This role is integral to streamlining our logistics functions and supporting the company's growth objectives through strategic project management and operational excellence.
Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
